AFTER SCHOOL JAGUAR ZONE
The Jesse Bethel Jaguar Zone After School Program is designed to provide our students with the academic support they need to succeed and also give students the opportunity to participate in a variety of enrichment activities. The Jaguar Zone is a place where students can study, learn and have fun! The Jaguar Zone operates onday through Friday from 3:00-6:00pm, and 1:30-6:00pm on Wednesdays. A free snack is provided daily.
Becuase our main goal is to encourage our students' academic success, students must particiapte in a Jaguar Zone academic program (tutoring/studey hall/intervention class) in order to participate in an enrichment activity. The first session is dedicated to academics. Students can then participate in the enrichment activity of their choice.
In addition to academic programs, the Jaguar Zone offers enrichment activities that cater to our students' interests. Culinary arts, dance, drama, poetry club, open gym and weight training are available. We will continually be implementing more activites. Please take time to let us know what activities interest you. We'd love to hear what you and your student would like to have in the program!
Students must enroll into the program by completing the registration form, at which time a Jaguar Zone schedule will be completed. You must notify the After School Program Coordinator if your student wil not be attending. Parents and students are equally responsible for the student's attendance in Jaguar Zone, regular attendance is expected.
The goal of our after school program is to give students a safe place where they can receive academic help, exercise their talents and skills, discover new talents and skills, hang out with friends, make new friends and HAVE FUN!
