Winston performs an essential service: keeping the computers running and in good order through out the various classrooms and in our school's computer lab. As his photo suggests, his calm, patient personality is much appreciated by Jesse Bethel Staff. He doesn't bat an eye when he needs to help a teacher discover where a file was saved. From elementary to advanced assistance, he's there for the entire staff.

Winston has been working for the Vallejo Unified School District for several years in other capacities. On his own, he advanced his education over the years to learn about computer networking, maintenance and repair to qualifying himself for this job change. Winston was hired last year through Digital High School Funds. With the coming budget cuts to Digitial High School Programs, Winston will continue in his capacity as technology wizard but service three high schools instead of one.

As you can imagine, his has been a full-time, round the clock job! Next year, it will be an even bigger job and he may not have time to find files for teachers.

Winston has had several student helpers this past 2002-2003 school year. With Winston's help, they've learned a lot more about computer maintenance and security.
