Each
V.C.U.S.D. student, wishing access to school
networked computers, is required to enter into
a written agreement generally known as an "acceptable
use policy" (AUP). The district's
AUP is known as the "Internet Consent
& Waiver Form".
At
Jesse Bethel High School, we also require students
to pass our "Internet Surfing License"
quiz with a minimum of 80% correct. The quiz
is designed to prevent perfunctory signatures
and insure student understands policy and his/her
responsibility. No teacher may permit a student
on school computers before verifying that a
student has on file his/her " Internet
Consent & Waiver Form". This form
is kept in the school's library. Qualified
students are issued a unique sticker placed
on the student's ID Card. The district mandates
that students have ID cards with them at all times on school campus.
Please
use the district policy links on the left to
become more familiar with policy. For your convenience
we've made available forms that may be printed
out from home and signed. The actual student
quiz is not available online but a sample of
the quiz is available for on-line practice.
- e-book
file formats have the advantage of allowing
for immediate look-up of unfamiliar terminology
but require installation of the Free Microsoft
Reader & Dictionary.
- PDF
file types require installation of the
Free Adobe
Acrobat Reader.
- HTML
can be read immediately with your web browser but lack the advantages for reading comprehension that the MS Reader allows.
