About Para-Educators

Also known as teacher assistants, it takes a special person to be a para-educator -- someone with much patience, compassion and, often times, physical strength. At Jesse Bethel, we appreciate the work they do to help our special needs students obtain an education and reach their highest potentials!

If you would like to be a para-educator for the Vallejo City Unified School District, please contact Tamela Jones
(707) 556-8921 50019.

You will need a high school diploma or GED. a resume and a letter of recommendation, in addition to a completed VCUSD application form. Our school and school district currently have openings.

Our para-educators work p/t for six hours each day, 183 days a year. Like teachers they often give more of their time. They are paid $11.57 to $14.76 per hour.
