12th Grade Counseling Objectives

Help plan for post high school years by:

  • providing information about:
    • college
    • vocational schools/programs
    • and/or career opportunities
  • informing students about:
    • college entrance requirements examinations
    • the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT)
    • other career-related tests
  • encourage students to set realistic goals
  • Continue to be available for:

  • personal/social counseling referrals to outside agencies
  • counseling with parents on concerns they have regarding their students
  • course selection assistance and educational planning
  • serving students with special needs
  • providing tutoring service

  • Important Spring Notice for Seniors
    : If you have any school debts (e.g. book fees for lost books), you must pay them immediately. You will not receive transcripts, participate in senior activities, nor graduate if debts are unpaid.


    Graduation Requirements:

    • Total Minimum Credits----220
    • English Credits----40
    • Math Credits----20
      (including one year of algebra 1 or its equivalent)
    • Science Credits----20

    • Modern World History----10

    • Fine arts or world language---10
    • Elective Credits----80
    • Beginning with class of 2007, students will be required to earn an additional 10 credits for a total of 230.
    • Students in the class of 2006 and subsequent classes must also pass the High School Exit Exam as an additional requirement to earn a diploma.
