| Annual Activities: Our annual activities include two field trips to Wardlaw Elementary School to read to the primary classes (Kindergarden and 1st graders). One is in the Fall (this year we did it for Halloween) and one is in time to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday on March 2 - nationally known as "Read Across America."
Additionally, we sponsor a school-wide, book-gift drive for homeless children at Christmas, bring books to children in homeless shelters. We, also, sponsor a book donation program from our students to provide a needy elementary school with books.

In the spring, we wear Dr. Seuss "Cat in the Hats" and read Dr. Seuss books to the children.
We've also begun "Book-Talking" to the English classes, to promote various novels. This year, as our first year and since it was at the end of the year, the Bukz members "Book-Talked" novels the English students would be reading next year in their classes.
