Jesse Bethel High School is a medium-sized high school with under 1500 students in grades 9-10. It first opened it's doors to students for the 1998-1999 school year; so it is still a new school. |
Ms. Points joined Jesse Bethel High School as the Instructional Reform Coordinator from previously being a guidance counselor for six years at both Peoples High School and Springstowne Middle School. Her other school counseling experiences were at:
- Sigma High School in Pinole
- Hercules Middle/High School
- Berkeley High School
- Edendale Elementary School in San Lorenzo.
She has over seven years of teaching experiences in preschool through twelfth grade. Additionally, she has been a cheerleading coach at Springstowne Middle School for five years.
Message From Ms. Points: I believe that every student can achieve his/her own successes through learning and growing as an individual. As an educator and a learning leader, my primary goal is to assist parents, students, and staff in helping to direct our students to reach their full academic potential. Developing into an adult is a hard task; therefore, sometimes students make choices that lead to negative and positive consequences. My task is to be there to assist them with the directions and choices they make. People have been there for me, so I can be there for them.
Other Information:She lives and attends church in Vallejo. She was the first person in her family to obtain a four-year degree. Her first degree was a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology with a minor in African American studies through California State University of the East Bay in Hayward. She continued to obtain a Masters of Science Degree in Counseling with the Pupil Personnel Service Credential at California State University of the East Bay in Hayward and her Administrative Tier 1: Credential through Chapman University in Fairfield, California. She is excited to join Jesse Bethel High School where she can grow along with the members of our school community.
