"No curriculum overhaul, no instructional innovation, no change in school organization, no toughening of standards, no rethinking of teacher training or compensation will succeed if students do not come to school interested in and committed to learning." Our Assistant Principals wish to help create and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment on campus.  They perform many varied activities to further this objective. If you have any questions about school policies, rules or discipline matters, they are happy to help. Please contact them.

Some tips to students and parents:

  • Communicate regularly with teachers. As teacher's are the best source for information on a student's academic progress.
  • If you receive an unsatisfactory report about your student's progress, make an appointment with the student's teacher(s) to learn what's needed for improvement.
  • Don't assume that your student is attending classes regularly, contact the attendance office or the teacher(s) if your student is frequently saying there is no homework and is often home without textbooks to read.

Assistant Principals motivate students to emulate the behaviors that are proven paths to success.  What is an accurate profile of a successful student? The following academic sites all reference Prof. John H. Williams' (Pepperdine University) "Clarifying Grade Expectations", The Teaching Professor, Volume 7, Number 7, August/September 1993.  They innumerate the essential points and clarify the difference between an "A" and "C" student behaviors.
